A 17-Year-Old Lost Her Life After A Fire In A Montreal Apartment Building This Morning
Four other people were brought to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.
Early on Tuesday, October 27, at around 4:30 a.m., a 911 call was placed for a fire in a Montreal apartment building near .

According to updates made by Véronique Comtois, media relations officer for the, at 7:45 a.m., while the fire department was working to extinguish the fire, the 17-year-old was discovered unconscious on the ground.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.

She was transported to the hospital and passed away there.
MTL Blog also spoke with a representative at Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal, who said that four people have also been taken to the hospital for "smoke inhaling."
We spoke to the department around 10:30 a.m. and there were no updates to be given on their conditions.
The fire went up to what the representative called a "second alarm," resulting in 65 firefighters being dispatched to the scene.
By 5:38 a.m., the fire was put out.
There are no updates yet as to what caused the fire.
