Though it might feel like the longest year of your life, we're unfortunately nowhere close to the end of 2020. We still have a whole two seasons to go and every Montrealer's favourite, winter, is just around the corner. The Canadian Farmer's Almanac has just released its Quebec winter forecast and it's predicting a "snowier-than-normal" season.
Remember winter? I certainly remember the endless shovelling, the layering, and the ugly boots.

All that and more is set to come back with a vengeance this year.
As if this year wasn't exhausting enough, the end of 2020 will be highlighted by blustery weather conditions across much of Quebec, with larger snowfalls than what we're used to.
The temperature, however, is estimated to be rather normal compared to the painful -30 C winters of recent memory.
The Canadian Farmer's Almanac has dubbed its long-term weather outlook for the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 as the "Winter of the great divide" due to how bizarre the weather patterns appear to be across the country.
The Almanac predicts a year of "cold and snowy conditions in the north, dry in the west, and everything crazy in-between."
Luckily, we've had a hot and humid summer to prepare for all the snow we're apparently about to get.
And to tell you the truth, I'm kind of tired of all this humidity, especially while wearing a mask everywhere.
The Almanac has predicted that winter will be in full swing by the second week of January and that heavy snowfalls will begin across much of Quebec.
Our suggestion? Get yourself a good pair of boots and, if you own a car, a heavy-duty shovel to help you dig out. Believe me, a broom is not going to cut it, my friend.
Across the rest of Canada, winter will be "unseasonably mild" in the Maritime provinces while the West is going to be "colder than normal."
"Preparing people for the unexpected is more important than ever," said the Almanac's editor, Peter Geiger.
"Our job as editors of the Farmers' Almanac is to pass down valuable tips and advice to help our readers thrive, no matter the obstacles, including the weather."
