Despite a 4-1 loss to the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Monday, Montreal Canadiens rookie sensation Cole Caufield scored his first-ever playoff goal in front of a raucous sellout crowd. 

But the most important people in that sellout crowd were undoubtedly Caufield's parents, who were in joyous tears after their son scored his first goal.

Caufield's parents and brothers shared a warm embrace after he lasered a shot past Vegas netminder Marc-André Fleury.

"It was pretty special to have them at the game and it's really special [...] to be in the same country," Caufield said in a post-game interview

"Obviously, not the result we wanted but we'll be back Wednesday for more."
