Old Quebec Will Transform Into A Real-Life Enchanted Christmas Village This Year

Not all magic will be lost this holiday season! 🌟

For the residents of the Capitale-Nationale, the German Christmas market in Quebec City is a must during the holiday season. Due to health measures imposed by COVID-19, the 2020 edition had to be cancelled.

However, the organizers have found a way to change the plan, so they can still do something that will be equally enchanting.

This year, from November 21 to January 3, Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville will be completely transformed. The space will be decorated with colourful lights and postcard-worthy Christmas trees.

The lights will shine day and night, every day of the week and — to make the atmosphere even more festive — music will be played on-site while ephemeral animations are projected.

A few wooden booths will still be set up to satisfy those who would like to take advantage of the little treats usually offered to the market's visitors.

In order to respect sanitary measures, opening hours will be established.

The exclusive artisanal products usually sold on-site will even be available for sale via Simons' online store.

Just in time for the Christmas shopping season!
