Montreal's finally getting a dose of summer weather this week but it won't last long

So far, May has been unseasonably gloomy, with only 97 hours of sunshine being recorded in the province between May 1st and 23rd. The average for the month of May is around 229 hours.

By the end of the week, temperatures will drop to the low 20s and rain is likely through at least Saturday, when temperatures could hit a low of 9C, according to both MétéoMédia and Environment Canada.

It's the kind of pattern Montrealers have gotten used to this month — a quick tease of summer followed by an abrupt return to sweater weather.
