Montreal Had 4 Shootings Over The Course Of Just A Few Hours Last Night

Which resulted in multiple people in the hospital.
Contributing Writer

The SPVM is currently investigating multiple shootings that happened in Montreal on the night of Sunday, November 29, that resulted in several victims ending up in the hospital.

SPVM Spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron says the first incident occurred just a little after 5:30 p.m. when gunshots were heard in Montréal-Nord near the intersection of rue Pascal and rue Lapierre.

We're told that when police arrived, no victims or suspects were found, but two parked vehicles in the area were found with bullet holes in them.

About an hour later, a male victim in his 20s, with a gunshot wound in his upper body, is said to have presented himself at a Montreal hospital. Bergeron called his injury "serious" and said the victim is undergoing emergency surgery.

Police are still trying to figure out if this event is linked to the one in Montréal-Nord.

Later, around 9:30 p.m., a man in his 50s was shot near his home in Rivière-des-Prairies and then brought to the hospital by officials. There are no suspects for this event at the current moment.

According to the SPVM, another event took place at around 9:40 p.m. in the parking lot of a residential building on avenue Jean-Rainaud where someone on foot allegedly shot at a car and fled the scene shortly after.

No victims or suspects have been found for this occurrence yet.

Then, around 10:20 p.m., Bergeron says someone was found on the balcony of their second-floor apartment on boulevard Armand-Bombardier in Rivière-des-Prairies, shot at by a person on the ground.

This man in his 20s was transported to the hospital with wounds that "don’t seem to put his life in danger." The police have not indicated suspects for this event either.

We're told that investigators are trying to find out if all of these events are linked in any way while trying to discover the identity of the suspects in each occurrence.
