Ah September, the back-to-school/back-to-real-life month. And after a summer filled with terrasses, getaways and overall shenanigans, many Montrealers are looking for ways to get out to enjoy fall without having to break the bank. Luckily for us, our city is filled with so much culture and beauty that there are even incredible things to do for free in Montreal.
After all, it seems like nature takes us the most incredible wonderland in the fall and it doesn't even cost us a dime.
Because when it comes to fall, it's so short and so magical that you want to get out there and enjoy it as much as possible.
And while we know that this year is definitely different than others, there are still some really amazing events and activities all over the island for you to enjoy.

Visit Les Jardineries

One of the biggest points of pride for Montreal was hosting the Olympics back in 1976. Thanks to Les Jardineries, the Olympic spaces are breathing new life and are the perfect place to visit this fall.

Picnic & Comedy Show
When: September 10 and 17 from 7 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.
Where: Parc Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park
For a seriously funny time, head over to Sir Wilfred Laurier Park for an incredible comedy show. Plus, you'll get to enjoy a Montreal park in the fall, which should be on everyone's to-do list this season.

While the weather is still enjoyable, head outside and get that heartrate up with free classes from Centre Sportif de la Petite-Bourgogne. The program offers classes four days a week and you can try everything from yoga, to pilates, to zumba.
POP Montreal International Music Festival
When: September 23 – 27

We all know that festival season hasn't been quite the run we were hoping for this year. But not to worry — POP is back this year and there are even events that you can attend for free.
Visit Parc Lahaie

One park, in particular, that you should definitely visit this fall is Parc Lahaie. It doesn't just have beautiful leaves, but a fountain and architecture that'll make you fall in love the city even more.
