9 Spots In Quebec Where You Can Just Drink & Take In The Views

There are two things that Quebecers love more than anything: gorgeous views and 5 à 7s. And aren't we lucky that we live in a place where we get to have both? Since there's really nothing better than hanging out with friends, sipping your favourite cocktail and taking in the view, we made a list of nine cool places to drink in Quebec.

Nothing gets us more excited for summer quite like getting outside (finally) and enjoying life's simple pleasures.

After the year we've had, I think we all deserve it.

Montreal offers some really spectacular views, or, if you're like me, after being stuck inside for what felt like ever, you've got a serious case of cabin fever and are ready to explore.

Fortunately for us, we're surrounded by gorgeous views that make for really fantastic spots to kick back with a drink in hand.

So whether you're a wine-drinker, a cocktail connoisseur or an old fashioned fan, pack your drink, some snacks and a blanket to sit on as you discover your new favourite spot in Quebec where you can just drink and take in the views.

Visit a Winery

Not only do we know how to enjoy our wine, but we also know how to make it. Quebec is filled with wineries that are as beautiful as their wine is tasty.

Here are some ideas on which to visit!

Parc du Bastion-de-la-Reine (Quebec City, QC)

Distance from Montreal: 2 hours and 45 minutes

Our province's capital not only leads the people but leads the way in beautiful views. Parc du Bastion-de-la-Reine brings together the city's best: the river, the Chateau Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace.

Be sure to stop by Les Trouvailles de Jules, a gourmet grocery store that sells local cheeses, bread, and drinks to add to your picnic basket.

Old Port

The Old Port is one of the most-visited areas of the city by tourists and locals, alike, for its charm, history and culture.

Sit at one of the many terrasses or pack a picnic and enjoy the heart and soul of Montreal.

Montreal Parks

Also in the city (because it's just so beautiful) are the parks that make for unbelievable picnics right in our own backyard.

Montreal has a law that you can drink in certain parks, like Parc Mont-Royal and Parc Maisonneuve, so long as you have food.

Rue du Petit-Champlain

Distance from Montreal: 2 hours and 45 minutes

While you're in Quebec City, check out Rue du Petit-Champlain for the charm and history that we love in the city.

If the old-time feels aren't enough to look at, the people watching will give you endless things to view.

Bleu Lavande (Stanstead, QC)

Distance from Montreal: 1 hour and 40 minutes

Bleu Lavande is a stunning lavender farm just outside of the city. The views awaken your senses almost as much as the beautiful scent of lavender that fills the air.

Bring your own basket or for a fully-relaxing experience, order once of their gourmet picnic packages.

Parc Laviolette (Trois-Rivières, QC)

Distance from Montreal: 1 hour and 30 minutes

With a gorgeous view of the Laviolette Bridge, the park is a great spot to enjoy nature's greatest joys, along with one of the city's greatest features.

Plage Douglass (Lac-Brome, QC)

Distance from Montreal: 1 hour and 10 minutes

Plage Douglass is a great spot for some peace and quiet and kicking back with a drink in hand.

Its calm waters and bright colours will make you never want to leave, but if you must, you'll definitely want to come back.

Top Dopico's BBQ Donut (Laval)

Distance from Montreal: 45 minutes

Combining all the best parts about summer: BBQs, drinks and hanging by the water. Now you can rent your own party donut with your friends for the ultimate day on the water.

Cheers to you.

We strongly advise that before you go swimming or visit any location, you check the most recent updates on potential hazards, security, water quality, and closures. If you do plan to visit a location, respect the environment.
