Those looking to make a little extra cash and unafraid of some heavy lifting this holiday season might consider applying to the new Amazon jobs at the operations centre in Saint-Hubert, Quebec.

The company is hiring hundreds of part-time employees ahead of the holiday rush of deliveries and all positions come with "top-notch" benefits, including "paid provincial vacations, statutory holidays and access to employee and family assistance programs," according to a statement shared with MTL Blog.

The company has also "added a free shuttle service between the Longueuil metro station and the distribution center on weekdays and from the Berri UQAM station on weekends."

Employees are paid up to $16.50 per hour. Postings on the hiring page indicate that there's a $0.50 premium for nighttime shifts.

As you'll be working in a warehouse, expect to "sort, scan and stack packages to prepare customer orders for delivery."

The job could also entail long periods of standing and other physically exerting activities.

Applicants need a high school diploma "or equivalent" to apply.

Applications are open online.
