Herzliah High School In Montreal Has Closed All In-Person Classes

At a press conference Thursday morning, Montreal Regional Public Health Director Dr. Mylène Drouin confirmed that Herzliah High School in Montreal has closed all in-person classes for a period of two weeks in response to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Classes will continue online.

Drouin said that the region's schools continue to be secure despite a small number of outbreaks but that the outbreak at Herzliah is "bigger" with "sporadic" cases at different levels.

In one class, she said, eight students were affected by an outbreak.

As of September 15, there were a total of 410 diagnosed cases reported in school environments in Quebec, including 322 among students.
