We've all been there before — pressing the wrong key on a government office line, going in circles and wondering if people who work at these call centres actually care about your problem. It's a universal experience that Montreal comedian Nir Guzinski perfectly and hilariously captures in a viral TikTok video.

We caught up with Guzinski to discuss his rising popularity and what exactly makes Quebec so funny.

I think we all feel some form of either frustration or humour about the situations that we all face between the different languages and in different parts of the city.

For Guzinski, a local Montrealer who works in both English and French, comedy is easy to come by in this province.

"I think it's the uniqueness of the languages and the culture," he said. "Being here, you kind of get a sense of the different cultures and the different struggles that both sides face."

Guzinski first got his start on the now-defunct Vine. A burgeoning internet star, Guzinski is juggling a nine to five job, philanthropic endeavours and is working on a short film and web series along with his social media content.

"[Montreal] is not an easy place for an actor at the best of times [and] the social media outlets have been a blessing for that outlet of that creativity," he explained.

"Ultimately, I just want to entertain and eventually be able to give back to the community that I grew up in."

Guzinski is active on TikTok and Instagram.
