The Centre for Gender Advocacy is looking for a Trans Rights Advocate & Educator to join its team and help with the organization's continued efforts to promote "gender equality and empowerment."

As listed on the posting, the job summary states that the person would "Offer frontline services to trans populations, advocate for their rights and educate the public on trans issues and realities." This role would include a variety of responsibilities, including trans advocacy, public education, community outreach, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is creative with "an active sense of humour." They are familiar with Concordia University and knows a third or fourth language (after French and English).

According to its site, the Centre for Gender Advocacy "is an independent, student-funded, Concordia University organization, mandated to promoting gender equality and empowerment particularly as it relates to marginalized communities."

The Centre strives towards its mandate through a variety of initiatives, including programs, services and campaigns, among others.

This will be a 12-month contract position at a rate of $19.48 per hour for 25 hours per week for the first three months (the probationary period) and 35 hours per week for the remainder of the contract.
