Montreal weather these past few months has been... hot. So, it didn't come as too much of a surprise when Environment Canada issued yet another heat advisory for Southern Quebec and Ontario — including Montreal.

According to the advisory, "The combined values of temperature and humidity will give humidex values near 40 today and Monday."

Although the advisory is only until Monday, this week's forecast will continue to remain warm, with humidity reaching the 30's. There will also be a risk of a thunderstorm from Monday to Thursday.

People are advised to drink lots of water, remain in cool places, schedule outdoor activities in the coolest parts of the day, and never leave people or animals in a parked vehicle.

Mayor Valérie Plante and the City of Montreal have offered resources and tips to keep Montrealers safe during this time, including using public pools and wearing appropriate clothing.
