Here's What It Will Be Like To Work Out At A Montreal Gym When It Reopens (VIDEOS)

Two-metre distancing will still be a thing.

When everything started to shut down in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19, people had to put certain habits on pause, like going to the gym. Now that the deconfinement is slowly starting, gyms in Quebec are getting ready to reopen. Victoria Kult, a local trainer, showed that Pro Gym Montreal is ready to give us a taste of what the new gym life will soon be like.

Like other businesses, gyms will have to comply with new measures in order to resume service.

Victoria Kult, who is the head of the Elles Zone, a space dedicated to women in Pro Gym Montreal, turned to Instagram to give us a glimpse at what gyms could be looking like once they reopen.

She proved that even though the green light has not yet been given, Pro Gym has taken everything into account in order to welcome clients as quickly as possible.

We can see for ourselves how the indoor training experience will be affected by safety measures thanks to Kult's Instagram stories from May 29.

Social distancing will continue to be a rule inside Pro Gym.

To move around the gym, the trainer explains that placement pads have been glued throughout the facility, which will allow clients to maintain the two-metre distance at all times.

The same will go for the various machines that will be reorganized to allow more space between them.

There will, therefore, be fewer cardio machines, for example, because they leave risk for the spread of contagion.

In terms of their sanitary use, towels are now mandatory, and several are available to guests in case they have forgotten.

Bottles of disinfectants will be available in every nook and on all equipment.

Victoria insists that it will be mandatory to disinfect each machine before and after every use.

As for the reception and appointment counters, employees and customers will be protected by Plexiglas barriers, in addition to the visors worn by employees.

One of the biggest changes is that it will no longer be possible to show up without an appointment.

The exact details are still being worked out, but the coach explained that it will probably be possible to book time slots of about 1.5 hours.

These spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You may not be able to train there seven days a week, but at least even once or twice a week will get you back into the swing of things.
