Over 80 Quebec City Students Are In Isolation After 3 People Got COVID-19

Entire class groups are at home after three people at two schools got infected.

The Direction régionale de santé publique du CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale confirmed to MTL Blog that dozens of students at two different schools in Quebec City are now at home after a total of three individuals tested positive for COVID-19.

Officials confirmed one COVID-19 case at the École Jean-de-Brébeuf and two cases at the Polyvalente de Charlesbourg.

81 students home for 14 days after having contact with an infected person

The infected individuals' class groups — 26 students at Jean-de-Brébeuf and 55 students at Polyvalente de Charlesbourg — are out of school for a period of 14 days.

For all three individuals, infection occurred outside of the school environment.

Parents at both schools were notified on Sunday, August 30.
