This Sunwing class action lawsuit promises eligible Quebec travellers 'unlimited' discounts

The final approval hearing for the settlement was originally scheduled for October 31, 2022, and the airline agreed to offer a settlement without admitting any wrongdoing. Following a few bumps in the process, Champlain Lawyers confirmed in September 2024 that the settlement website was now live and accepting registrations.

Under the terms of the settlement, Quebec residents who purchased, obtained, or travelled on a Sunwing flight or vacation package that was advertised using the word “champagne” during the specified dates can now get a 7% discount voucher for future Sunwing bookings. The discount can be used on a variety of flights and vacation packages, and the best part? There are no blackout periods or restrictions for the next three years!

If you're eligible, not only can you use this discount an unlimited amount of times over the next three years, you can also extend the discount to up to five friends or family members travelling with you. To take advantage of the discount, you'll need to verify your status with Sunwing by filling out a claim form on their website. The deadline to submit your claim is November 4, 2024.
