To celebrate its 70th year serving French pastries, Montreal bakery and restaurant Duc de Lorraine has introduced two new gourmet donut creations: a crème brûlée donut and a chocolate-filled "cronut," or croissant-donut hybrid.

Both donuts have been featured in videos by Duc de Lorraine on social media, where the crispy layers of pastry and luxuriously thick fillings are making Montrealers salivate across the city. The restaurant designed its chocolate-filled donut, called "le Beignet Royal," based on New York-style cronuts, but with a creamy cocoa twist.

Montreal is home to some of the most delish cafés and bakeries offering up decadent sweet treats that are bound to make your mouth water, Bernie Beigne being one of 'em. This Mile-End bakery serves unique donuts that are out of this world, including their most recent deluxe Twix donut with a full chocolate bar inside.

Bernie Beigne told MTL Blog that donut is stuffed with an entire Twix chocolate bar, then dipped into chocolate and topped with whipped cream. It doesn't end there: the donut is then drizzled with caramel and finally finished off with crushed Twix pieces on top. Uhh, yes, please!

Bomboloni Boss, the Italian stuffed donut purveyor that became a lockdown sensation, is expanding to the Montreal West Island with a new location on autoroute 40 in Dorval. And this could be just the start.

In an email sent to MTL Blog, co-founder and co-owner Christina Pomponio suggested the Dorval shop will be a launchpad for future Bomboloni Bosses.
