Many Montreal fans of rapper 50 Cent say they were left disappointed by his show at Beachclub on Sunday.

It wasn't because they were embarrassed that his name was misspelled — well, at least it wasn't only that. Rather, concert-goers are complaining because the rapper only performed for 20 minutes, apparently exiting the stage abruptly without explanation.

Rapper and business mogul 50 Cent performed at Montreal's Beachclub over the weekend. But looking at the big block letters projected onto the stage behind him at the show, audience members would've noticed something unusual.

On August 2, Drake dropped the music video for his song "Sticky," the seventh track off his album Honestly, Nevermind released on June 17. The video shows the Canadian singer mostly on the move, hopping in and out of planes, boats and automobiles between shows, dinners, clubs and a dip in a pool.

The first sequence shows clips of Drake's May appearance at Montreal's Metro Metro music festival, as well as a drive through what appears to be the Ville-Marie Tunnel and down a street with a view that resembles that from boulevard Robert-Bourassa south of rue Notre-Dame downtown.

Years of pandemic restrictions and a temporary liquor license suspension in 2021 aren't enough to deter one of the hottest (and stickiest) clubs in the Montreal area. Beachclub confirmed its return for summer 2022.

It announced a first phase of five dates, July 1, 23, and 31, and September 4 and 5, but revealed only one performer: The Chainsmokers on July 23.
