Many Montreal fans of rapper 50 Cent say they were left disappointed by his show at Beachclub on Sunday.
It wasn't because they were embarrassed that his name was misspelled — well, at least it wasn't only that. Rather, concert-goers are complaining because the rapper only performed for 20 minutes, apparently exiting the stage abruptly without explanation.

"You guys ripped everyone off with this show! Hours of waiting for 20 mins of 50 Cent.. wtf? We didn't pay for DJs!" commented Instagrammer @omarbudagher on Beachclub's post recapping the event.
"And then he left without telling anyone. That was the worst part. Lots of people kept waiting for over an hour," added @enrick514.
The comments below that post — as well as on TikTok videos of the show — are filled with attendees expressing anger and frustration while demanding their money back, with concert-goers claiming to have payed between $80 and $100 per ticket.
"20 minutes? Tickets for $100. [That's] $5 per minute. I have nothing against Beachclub [...] but [cibole]," commented TikTok user Sylvain Giguere on a video posted by Beachclub owner Olivier Primeau.
In response, Primeau wrote, "Write to 50 [Cent] you know very well that I control none of this."
It's currently unclear why 50 Cent chose to perform a 20-minute set, but we do know that he headed to local supper club Yoko Luna later that night to celebrate his birthday, which was the day before the event.
Folks who saw the hip hop artist and business mogul at Quebec City's Festival d'été de Quebec on July 5 said he performed for an hour-and-a-half or longer.
Beneath a post about the rapper's name being spelled incorrectly at Beachclub, @eddy_lost took their best guess as to why 50 Cent bounced from the concert so quickly: "50 Cent saw [his name spelled wrong] and decided to dip after only performing 20 minutes."
It's a valid theory, but also doesn't seem likely.
Posting about his time in Montreal, 50 Cent didn't appear to be the least bit offended by the "50 Cents" mishap — or, for that matter, remorseful about "short changing" the audience.
"Man my birthday [...] was the best this year, I had a ball in Canada. [...] Shit was on 10," he said.
