This Colourful Art Centre In Montreal Is The Perfect Spot To Have A One Of A Kind Date

It's time to explore new places in the city.
Contributing Writer

Montreal is known as being an incredibly creative place. Not only are we a city of inventive minds, but a city filled with people who have something to say. Luckily for us, one of the most imaginative art museums in Montreal recently reopened to the public.

This art centre "is a non-profit organization [...] determined to bring about social change and spiritual awareness through art, culture and music events."

Opened in 2015 in the Mile-Ex neighbourhood, a creative haven here in Montreal, Never Apart has become a special place for both established and emerging artists, alike, as well as those in the city who are happy to come along for the ride.

The centre closed back in March due to the pandemic, but last month, the doors reopened again to welcome curious visitors every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

If you've been trying to find a unique place to take a date in the city, this spot may be exactly what you're looking for.

With so many cultural events and festivals cancelled this year, Never Apart feels like that piece of Montreal that's been missing during the past few months.

Along with some of the permanent installations, like the Moon Room, you can experience the latest exhibits, including Canadiana Threads: Le Château and Five Years / Twenty-Five Faces.

You can also submit a proposal for an exhibit during one of the two seasonal exhibits. The next proposals will be accepted between November 14-30.

The building itself is also a work of art.

Modern and built in the minimalistic style, it's warm and inviting, with a movie theatre and other facilities for showcasing talent.

Never Apart also releases a monthly magazine, a collection of voices and expression across a range of disciplines.

"If we can break down the separations in society and on our planet, if we can embrace our oneness, we can start something new," the centre proclaims.
