A new international university ranking has come out that is unlike any other. "The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," of which there are 17.

And while we often find McGill University higher up than other Quebec universities in most rankings, the opposite happened this time.

Université de Montréal ranked the highest out of all the schools in our province at #39. It received an 87.1/100 in this "good health and well-being" category.

Next on the list comes Concordia University at #62, which got an 88.4/100 in the "partnerships for the goals" criteria. Following it we find Université Laval ranked #70, receiving an overall of 87.9/100 based on the UN's 17 SDGs.

And McGill didn't even make the top 100... It was simply lumped into the "#101-200" ranking. But, it did get a 99.2/100 in the "industry, innovation, and infrastructure" category — so at least there's that.
