Your first thought when you think of nature is probably Mont Tremblant or Mont Saint-Bruno. But did you know there are so many other amazing spots for you to check out?
And even though it's an old cliché, the whole "there's something for everybody" is so true. Seriously, if you're into hikes, animals, water sports, anything really, you're sure to find something you like to do in Quebec.
While most of us love a good hike, we're not all professionals. Thankfully, all of the destinations offer many activities and levels to keep everyone safe and happy.
Because after months of being stuck inside, we're all ready to breathe that sweet, fresh air. And we all know that summer (unfortunately) won't last forever.

Vallée Bras-du-Nord
Distance from Montreal: 2 hours and 40 minutes
Vallée Bras-du-Nord is the ultimate outdoor destination. It has over 80 kilometres of trails for hiking, 100 kilometres of paths for mountain biking, a waterfall and a rock-climbing expedition; it's a definite must-add for explorers of all levels and adventure types.
Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean
Distance from Montreal: 6 hours and 30 minutes
A bit of a drive from the city but so worth it. Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean is as diverse as it is educational.
You can see animals, the northern lights, beautiful lakes and you can also learn about the Pekuakamiulnuatsh First Nations people and their culture.
Bas-Saint-Laurent
Distance from Montreal: 4 hours and 15 minutes
If you're a sucker for a sunset, then this is the place for you. Bas-Saint-Laurent is the perfect mix of romantic and curious, with so much to do with someone special, a group of friends or on a solo adventure.
Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
Distance from Montreal: 3 hours and 10 minutes
Just a half-hour outside Quebec City is Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier.
Summer is a great time to explore the landscape through over 100 kilometres of hiking trails, or you can ride along the river to get the most relaxing and scenic trip through the park.
Parc Omega

Calling all animal lovers! Parc Omega is one of the best places to see some amazing creatures. And with how close it is to Montreal, there's no reason not to take a day trip over there at least once this summer.
Réservoir Beaudet

Think ski hills are only for the winter? Think again. Owl's Head is a great spot in the summer for a hike with views galore, including Lac Memphremagog and Vermont. There's also golf and accommodations on site for the perfect weekend away.
