Although travelling to Europe got more or less cancelled this summer, that doesn't mean that you won't be able to get a little taste of Europe before the summer is over. When you hear Cambridge, you instantly think of England. But did you know that there's also a Cambridge, Ontario, which has an undeniable European flair?

Bet you didn't! Ontario, Cambridge is a small town that has tons of castle-like buildings to explore. Plus, a bunch of Euro-inspired cafés that'll make you think you're on the wrong continent.

Situated just about six hours from Montreal, this location is a great spot for a weekend escape with friends, family, or even that special someone.

With a ton of things to be seen and charming hotels to stay at, you won't regret exploring this lovely town, especially if you've been craving an escape to London.

The colourful brick buildings that line the streets downtown will make you feel like you're strolling through streets in the UK.

As you promenade through these European-like spots, you will stumble upon a slew of eateries, including the popular Cambridge Mill, that's as visually appealing as it is tasty.

Throughout Cambridge, there's a ton of nature to explore, museums to be seen, and shopping to be done, which is basically what you'd be doing in Europe, too.

There are also fairytale-like churches to check out, which all provide a true European feel.

Speaking of Europe...

Cambridge is also incredibly close to Paris —not Paris, France of course — but Paris, Ontario, which just so happens to be one of the most charming towns in the province, at least if you ask me.

And, totally worth checking out if you're on that side of the border.

There's even a nature trail that brings you from one town to the other by foot — giving you a taste of London and Paris right in Ontario.

So, if you've been dreaming of Europe but can't pull off the long and expensive trip this year, why not head over to Cambridge, Ontario?

Turns out you don't have to go far to make your Euro-fantasies a reality.
