Canada is home to plenty of dreamy beach towns, and one of the most charming is just a road trip away from Montreal. With fairytale streets and three breathtaking white sand beaches, it's a true summer paradise.

In a Facebook post, we asked readers to share what the best beach towns in Canada are, and this beautiful destination in Ontario was one of the recommended spots.

It offers a cozy downtown that's straight out of an episode of Gilmore Girls, as well as quaint farm markets, rolling vineyards and dreamy dune-filled beaches.

Picton is an enchanting small town situated in Prince Edward County, approximately 4 hours from Montreal.

The charming downtown is brimming with local boutiques, inviting cafés, and delicious restaurants. You'll find everything from books to clothing and everyday essentials as you stroll along the postcard-worthy streets.

One of the area's biggest draws is its beaches. Sandbanks Provincial Park, located just a short drive from Picton, is a summer oasis that will have you feeling like you're in the tropics.

It's home to three gorgeous white sand beaches, which, according to the park's website, are "among the best in Canada."

You can wander along towering dunes that look like something you'd you'd find in the desert. The sparkling turquoise waters make this park a beautiful spot to take a dip.

Aside from swimming, the area boasts rustic farm markets as well as beautiful wineries and vineyards where you can relax with a drink.

If you're dreaming of sandy shores and small-town charm, readers say Picton is among the best beach towns in the country.
