The pandemic has changed many aspects of our lives, including the concern of blowing out our birthday candles. But, one Montreal company has created a genius solution to this problem.

A cake shield. Yes, you read that right. Like PPE, but for your dessert

Editor's Choice: The 25 Best Places To Work In Canada This Year Were Revealed & Many Have Openings In MTL

For only $26 plus shipping, you can protect your cake from germs and the people of your household to all get a piece — worry-free.

CrackedCakesMTL told us that's currently the "only authorized retailer in Canada" to be selling this cool new product.

The cake shield is flame resistant, food-safe, and eco-friendly.

It comes in two sizes: Round (8-10" cake) and rectangular (half sheet cake) but both can house cupcakes, doughnuts, or other treats inside.

Although this shield is made for a "one time use," the company said it's completely safe to use time and time again, as long as you handwash it.

You can order yours on CrackedCakesMTL's website or by sending the company a direct message on Instagram.
