The butterballs are inspired by an Italian sandwich cookie, a pastry with cream filling rolled in grappa syrup.

"The original one is the Nonna Maria, named after my grandmother," Vanessa D'Amora, owner and pastry chef, told MTL Blog. "Then we played with some different flavours."

Vanessa went on to say that the most popular flavours are definitely the Nonna Maria, Nonno carlo (tiramisu), red velvet, cookies n' cream and pistachio.

The butterballs are available at the Old Montreal and Griffintown locations, as well as for delivery. A single butterball is $3.95.

You can also get six for $20 or 12 for $36, all with tax included.

Don't mind if we do! Get the details below.
