Police Are Investigating An Attempted Murder In Broad Daylight At A Montreal Tattoo Shop

The suspect fled the scene.

A man was shot on Tuesday, August 18, in a tattoo parlour in the Montreal borough of Anjou.

The suspect, who fled after the incident, is still wanted, but no description is available at this time.

The 28-year-old man was transported by ambulance and there is no fear for his life.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) told Narcity Québec that police officers received a 911 call at approximately 12:00 p.m. concerning a shooting at an establishment located on boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est near boulevard Ray-Lawson. 

Upon arriving on the scene, the police officers were quickly able to locate the victim, who was wounded in the lower part of his body by a firearm projectile.

Investigators are currently meeting with witnesses who were at the scene and viewing the images captured by the surveillance cameras, SPVM spokesperson Benoit Boisselle said. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
