A new survey by Montreal marketing firm Leger found that three out of four Quebecers — 74% — support the government's night-time curfew in Quebec. Fewer — 57% of Quebecers surveyed — believed curfew is "an effective way to reduce the spread of the virus," while 32% doubted the curfew's effectiveness. In the rest of Canada, 65% of respondents said they would support a curfew in their own region if public health officials recommended it. The same survey questioned Canadians on their intention to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Forty-seven percent of Quebecers said they intended to take the first vaccine available, while 28% said they wanted to wait for other vaccines to become available for public use. Overall, 69% of Quebec respondents said they were "satisfied" with Premier François Legault's handling of the coronavirus. Leger conducted the web survey with a representative sample of 1,516 Canadians and 1,003 Americans over the age of 18. Data collection took place between January 15 and January 17.
