According to a March 2 press release from the Ministry of Health and Social Services, around 350 pharmacies are participating in this first phase of vaccine deployment.

How do pharmacy vaccine dose appointments work?

To register, eligible Montrealers can visit the website Clic Santé. There, they can enter their postal code to see which pharmacies in their area are taking appointments.

At the time of writing, only Montreal residents aged 65 and older can book an appointment.

The government plans to roll out pharmacy appointments in other regions in the coming weeks.

How is the vaccination campaign going in Quebec?

The number of daily administered doses jumped dramatically in the past few days, from 19,466 on March 10 to 31,611 on March 13.

The opening of appointments to Montrealers aged 65 and older could also mean that the province is approaching a long-awaited turning point in the pandemic.

Premier François Legault has previously stated that additional public health rule relaxations could come once the 65+ population is vaccinated.
