Patiently waiting for your second vaccine dose appointment in Quebec? Well good news, it is going to be sooner than you expected.

Quebec has created a second dose advancement schedule, meaning anyone who has already been scheduled a second dose can have it moved up. As of June 16, anyone over the age of 45 can go on Clic Santé or call 1 877 644-4545 to have their appointment switched to an earlier date.

Depending on your age, here is when you are able to change your second dose:

  • June 15: 50 years and up
  • June 16: 45 years and up
  • June 17: 40 years and up
  • June 18: 35 years and up
  • June 21: 30 years and up
  • June 22: 25 years and up

On June 7, the government announced that the option to advance the administration of the second dose would only be available for Pfizer recipients for "the time being."

But, in Premier François Legault's recent tweet about the matter, he specified that the second dose advancement calendar provided was "for all vaccines, including AstraZeneca and Moderna."

The government asks that you "be sure to keep the minimum interval of 8 weeks between your two doses."
