If you got the Pfizer vaccine for your first dose, you can look forward to moving up your appointment for your second dose. But, right now, everyone else has to wait.

Quebec's Department of Health confirmed in a press release on Monday that "for the time being, the option to advance the administration of the second dose is only available for those who have received the first dose of Pfizer's vaccine."

The administration of the second dose is dependent on vaccine supply and the government explained that "only doses of Pfizer vaccine are delivered in sufficient quantity" at the moment.

As for Moderna and AstraZeneca, the government confirmed that it will be receiving shipments soon.

"The next vaccine deliveries from Moderna or AstraZeneca will be confirmed shortly and should also allow the administration of the second dose to be brought forward."

As of June 8, Quebecers 75 and older can book their second-dose appointments.
