This Montreal PR Queen Revealed Some Of Her Weirdest Stories Working With Reality Stars

She's worked on campaigns with celebs like Khloe Kardashian and Eva Longoria.
Reporter

As a reality TV junkie, I was amazed to discover that PR maven Lori Krebs of LoriK Public Relations was not only born and raised in Montreal but she still calls our city home.

Krebs began her PR career over 16 years ago, after graduating university in Montreal then making her way to Los Angeles.

During her early years in PR, she worked on campaigns with Eva Longoria, Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Bethenny Frankel and Brooke Burke!

She now represents reality stars like Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules, along with his wife.

Lori told MTL Blog that she takes on clients who "really pique" her interests. "Someone who is highly passionate and motivated, someone who is intentional and firm in their beliefs, their genuine and open-minded, creative thinkers."

You can read our interview with her below.

What are some of the best parts about working with huge reality stars?

One of the best parts about working with reality stars is going along on this crazy journey with them.

There are many lows, so many highs — so many ups and downs — but working together to build something sustainable and impactful is truly the best part of the job.

Watching my clients evolve and grow while simultaneously bringing their visions and brands to life is just so rewarding to witness and be a part of (also, I would be lying if I didn't say all the free products and clothing weren't a perk! ha)

What are some of the weird requests you've gotten with clients?

As I'm sure you can imagine, working alongside reality stars comes with its share of crazy fans (most are great but you do get the crazies from time to time).

I would say, the strangest request was from a Wall Street Banker who offered to pay my client $10,000 for a pair of used shoes and socks!

Another one — Someone offered a client to attend their wedding for $50,000.

I can honestly say, nothing shocks me at this point!

Why do you choose to stay in Montreal when most of your clients live in the U.S.?

That's a good question and one that I ask myself every winter when it's -30 degrees here in Montreal!

I have decided to live in Montreal because being close to my family and friends (especially with having kids) is incredibly important to me.

I'm also extremely lucky that my job doesn't require me to live in any one place. All of my clients are from all over North America (Toronto, MTL, New York, LA, Chicago, Denver, Texas, Nashville, San Diego, etc).

I fly out when/where I need to. Today, mostly everything is done virtually or on social media so I'll really only travel if there's a photoshoot, red carpet event or specific press junkets that I have to attend!
