Montreal Is Getting A Huge Free Sledding Hill This Winter
The upcoming season definitely won't be a depressing, locked-in-your-house kind of winter because the city is planning some amazing free winter activities. You'll be able to sled* down a huge hill for free at Montreal's Parc Ignace-Bourget.
The park's winter programming will allow you to participate in your favourite winter activity by the beginning of next year.

Our goal remains to make winter activities accessible to everyone, even more so in a time of pandemic.
Sud-Ouest Borough Mayor Benoit Dorais
The company Pente à Neige once offered winter activities at the site, but it announced this past summer that the Sud-Ouest borough had decided not to renew its agreement.*
The borough now says the site will be "completely redesigned."
The Sud-Ouest also assures the activity will conform to current health and safety standards for the pandemic.*
This year, the park's huge hill will have two revamped slopes, one for more experienced riders and another for families.
Supervised sledding will be available on the weekends, from Friday to Sunday.
Borough Mayor Benoit Dorais also suggested that even more activities are in store for the future.
"This is a first step, but we will see to integrate other suggestions expressed by citizens in the years to come."
Weather permitting, Parc Ignace-Bourget's sledding hill will be open to all Montrealers from the end of December.
