The municipal tourism website calls the dunes "an exceptionally scenic location, ideal for contemplating the St. Lawrence, relaxing and daydreaming."

With some luck, visitors may even see some whales. The website suggests the site is one of the best spots in the village to spot the animals from land.

Part of the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay, the sand hills are perhaps best viewed via the Sentier de l’Estuaire, an easy 800-metre hike that culminates in a lookout point with "a panoramic view onto the dunes and the St. Lawrence Estuary."
