Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry continue to break the internet. And their latest encounter had over 20,000 witnesses.

After being spotted walking through Montreal, grabbing dinner at a chic restaurant and capping the night with drinks at a trendy bar, Trudeau kept the buzz going. On Wednesday evening, the 53-year-old was seen at the Bell Centre, attending Perry's Lifetimes Tour stop in Montreal.

And he wasn't exactly trying to keep a low profile. Joined by his daughter Ella-Grace, the former PM was all smiles near the front of the stage, clearly enjoying the show, according to fan-shot videos circulating on social media.

One clip obtained by MTL Blog shows Trudeau rocking out to Perry's 2013 hit single "Roar".

Another social media post shows him watching the 40-year-old's performance with a starstruck look on his face.

"He's in love," one X user wrote in reaction to the photo.

"They are so cute together," another added.

While the nature of Perry and Trudeau’s relationship remains a bit of a mystery, the fact that both are single has fuelled a wave of romantic rumours. The pop star recently split from actor Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau has been separated from Sophie Grégoire since 2023.

The speculation kicked off earlier this week when TMZ published photos of the pair dining at Le Violon, a Plateau restaurant recently named Canada's best new spot. The tabloid later reported that the two also visited Taverne Atlantic in Mile End, where they grabbed cocktails and chatted with staff.

On Wednesday, Entertainment Tonight escalated things further by releasing a map of the duo's rumoured day in Montreal. It included a 90-minute stroll through Mount Royal Park, in addition to the already viral dinner and bar stop.

Whether it was a friendly hangout, a show of support, or something more personal, fans across Canada — and beyond — are clearly invested. But with Perry's tour now moving on, only time will tell if this summer storyline grows into something else... or if she'll end up being Justin's "one that got away."
