You Can Get Lost In Row Of Books At Montreal Libraries Again, But With Some Limitations

Libraries in the city can now reopen their reading and working spaces.

As of Monday, July 27, more services will be offered at Montreal libraries. Some of the main services now available include the use of computer stations and the ability to go up to shelves.

Other services that are now available are loans and returns, the use of reading and workspaces, memberships, and online services.

But in good news — you can spend time getting lost in rows and rows of books like you used to, expect while wearing a mask this time around.

Communal magazines and newspapers, Accès Montréal cards, and toys and games remain unavailable for the time being, for health reasons.

Not all libraries are opened and specific libraries have their own protocols. Visitors are encouraged to call or look online ahead of visiting a particular location.
