With Quebec experiencing an "explosion of cases" recently, as Health Minister Christian Dubé put it, the thought of getting tested is in the back of the minds of many right now. So, it seemed like the perfect time to make a list of places to get COVID-19 testing in Montreal without an appointment.

In past months, Montreal testing clinics have seen massive wait lines, which officials are actively trying to make sure don't happen again.

The provincial government has spoken multiple times recently about the conditions for going to get a COVID-19 test, so we've listed those below as well.

COVID-19 testing is free for everyone, and you're able to get it done with or without your Quebec health card.

What are the conditions for getting a COVID-19 test in Quebec?

There are three reasons you should get a COVID-19 test, according to Quebec officials. First, if you have any symptoms of the virus, including fever, coughing, or trouble breathing, among others.

If you feel as though you may have symptoms, you can use the government's COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment Tool to confirm.

You should also get tested if you've been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

And, the last reason to go get tested would be if health officials have asked you to.

The Government of Quebec has reminded citizens that if neither of these three points applies to them, they don't need to get tested.
