There's A Colourful Restaurant In Old Montreal Where You Can Pretend Summer Lasts Forever

Your favourite season doesn't have to end.
Reporter

Montreal knows food. Throughout the island, your taste buds can travel around the world without ever needing to hop on a plane. From Hawaiian poke bowls and Italian delicacies to traditional Greek dishes and Japanese vegan sushi, there's truly no excuse to not try something new when it comes to meals. Le Petit Sao is one of those places that will transport you outside of Montreal and into a deliciously colourful world of its own.

With a harsh winter being predicted, it's nice to know that there will be a slice of summer and Vietnam right here in Montreal, all throughout the year.

This spot first opened its doors in 2013 and in early July of this year, a new location was added to the mix.

Situated in Old Montreal, this new spot is breathing new life and vivacity into this part of the city.

The fresh and homemade menu is inspired by the original recipes of Mama Thi, so you know it's gotta be good.

Le Petit Sao is said to have "remove[d] beef for ecological reasons from their menus and replace them with more gourmet and comforting vegetarian dishes."

You can even replace regular noodles with some healthy zucchini ones in your Pho.

This spot also serves classic chicken Pho soup and satay as well as fresh spring salads, rolls, and the ultra-tempting Banh Mi.

Le Petit Sao offers a slew of tasty drinks for you to sip on in between bites like fresh lemonade, chè Thai, and Vietnamese coffee.

Asian and local beers are also served, along with tasty cocktails.

Le Petit Sao always has a small privately imported wine list for the curious drinkers.

If that's not enough to leave your mouth watering, the eatery has some pretty great desserts for you to try out including a vegan brownie, matcha cake, and coconut ice cream.

One thing is for sure, Le Petit Sao will add a little colour and a lot of great flavours into your life.

This is one of those spots that you're sure to instantly fall in love with — not only because of the adorable decor and delicious menu but also because of the friendly and welcoming staff.
