Montreal's Naked Bike Ride Is Coming Back This Summer — And You Can Use BIXI Bikes

BIXI asks that nude cyclists cover bike seats with a plastic bag.
Reporter

The World Naked Bike Ride is returning to Montreal this summer for the second time during the COVID-19 pandemic — and this year, once again, nude cyclists are permitted to use BIXI bikes.

The peaceful protest in Montreal will take place on July 17, making a bold statement in rejection of fossil fuels and world dependency on oil.

Gene Dare, the organizer of the World Naked Bike Ride in Montreal, told MTL Blog that it's hard to say how many cyclists will participate this year.

BIXI told us that it neither endorses nor condemns the event, but asks cyclists to cover bike seats with plastic bags and recommends the use of helmets and shoes.

Both the day and night rides will begin at Dorchester Square in Montreal, and BIXI's COVID-19 health protocols will remain in effect.
