I've always wondered if the whole "one man's trash is another man's treasure" was real. When I look around my house, there are so many items that I don't actually need — or even want. I sometimes wish that I could trade my belongings for items that I'm actually in need of, without ever needing to spend a dime. And turns out, there's a Montreal Facebook group that lets me do exactly that.

Bunz Trading Zone Montreal is everything I was searching for and more, so I'm truly excited to share this discovery with my fellow Montrealers.

Bunz' focus is to "create a sustainable future by regaining control over how we consume, contribute, and grow as citizens through alternative economies, community building, and radical recycling."

How it works is that you post what you're offering, as well as what you're looking for, and then people can reach out to you via Facebook. It's is that simple.

As stated on the Facebook page, this is a group where you can trade both "your things and your skills."

Bunz even have an app, where you can sign in on their website and be able to manage the group from there.

Like most other groups, there are community guidelines that ought to be followed, including zero-tolerance for harassment and bullying on the page.

All of which are stated in the community standards document that's linked to on its Facebook page.

From art supplies and houseplants to board games and clothing, you can truly find so many things that you've always wish you had on this unique Facebook group.

And, if you don't have something to trade, but have a specific set of skills you don't mind using, like plumbing, you can trade an item for that.

A pretty great trade if you ask me.

This is a smart way of getting rid of your old things or even gathering new belongings.

If you have some stuff lying around the house that you no longer have use for, or if you're looking for a specific item but don't necessarily have the budget to purchase it, then why not give Bunz a try?

Something tells me you won't regret it.
