With so many fabulous parks in the province, it is hard to pick one to check out, but Forillon National Park located in Gaspésie is at the top of my list.
Situated at the tip of the peninsula, the park is abundant with hiking trails.

One of its easiest is also one of the most spectacular, taking you down to a cascading 17-metre-tall waterfall.
The La Chute hike will provide you with some phenomenal views without the hustle of an hours-long trek.
There are tons of opportunities to spot some wildlife and admire the woods, including maple and cedar groves, along the 1.1-kilometre-long moderate-level trail.
Also waiting for you at the end is one of Parks Canada's famous red Adirondack chairs, so you can enjoy a little relaxation while you take in the view at the end of the journey.
And, best of all, the park is pet-friendly, which means you can bring your four-legged bestie along for the beautiful journey as long as they're on a leash.
The biggest obstacle, according to Parks Canada, are some steep stairs along the path, so beware.
The Gaspésie tourism webpage indicates that there's a nearby picnic area, belvedère, and campground for those looking to spend some extra time on the site.
According to Tourisme Gaspésie, the La Chute trail is open every year from June to October.
So lace up your shoes, pack yourself some snacks, grab your dog, and go off on an easy, immersive adventure in nature.
