Don't Be Surprised If You See Sheep Roaming This Montreal Park Starting Next Month

Sheep thrills!

With so much constantly changing as 2020 continues to throw us curveballs, it can be hard to keep up with what is and isn't coming back this summer. Luckily, some important things will be making a return. MTL Blog can now confirm that the sheep you may have seen roaming around one of Montreal's parks in the past will be back again for their fifth year.

The sheep, like Chalette that you'll meet below, will be roaming around in Parc Maisonneuve from July 6 to September 20.

However, for the safety of the animals and their new human friends, organizers are asking that the sheep not be touched and that people maintain two metres of social distancing.

Because, we're told, that the sheep aren't fans of having to take Purell baths. Understandable.

That said, the non-stop sheep fun is in order for the animals' annual visit to Parc Maisonneuve.

This is all thanks to Biquette, a non-profit organization who, "through the presence of animals in the city..., wish to contribute to the education of the general public on environmental and societal issues," according to its Facebook page.

So, expect to see a few extra animal crossings this summer.

For those wondering about the sheep's health and safety, both during the event and throughout the year, you'll be happy to know that the sheep, like people, can roam freely throughout the park.

"All our animals are treated with great care and love and are not exploited in any way," Biquette promises.

For those looking to hang out with the adorable creatures and are looking to get involved, stay tuned for volunteer opportunities.

Is there any better way to spend your time?
