Quebec's Total COVID-19 Case Count Has Officially Surpassed 100k

As of Saturday, October 24 at 4 p.m., the province of Quebec's total COVID-19 cases has surpassed the 100,000-mark.

With 879 new cases, the overall count is now officially 100,114.

Currently, there are 551 people in the hospital, with 97 people in intensive care as a result of the virus.

100,114 Total cases in Quebec since the start of the pandemic

On Saturday, five deaths were related to COVID-19. This brings the total death count to 6,143.

Between Sunday, October 18 and Friday, October 23, an average of just under 24,000 tests were administered each day, with the highest amount of tests given being on Wednesday, October 21, at 27,183.

Montreal remains the region with the highest number of cases with 40,869.

The region with the second-largest number of cases is Montérégie, with 14,657 since the beginning of the pandemic.
