Last May, the Quebec government unveiled the outline of a new program supporting the training of 2,500 people in the field of information technology and communications. The list of training courses paid $650 per week is out and there is something for everyone.

Since July 1, it has been possible for people who have had to recover from unemployment due to the pandemic and for people who have not been studying full time in the last 12 months to register for one of the training programs of the Program for the requalification and the accompaniment in information technology and communications (PRATIC).

Quebec social distancing is about to be reduced to one metre between people from different addresses, according to a Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) announcement on July 7.

The City of Montreal and Quartier des Spectacles are hosting free outdoor screenings of the next few games of the Stanley Cup Final in Montreal — including tonight's Game 3, which is sold out.

The site will host 4,335 game spectators, separated into three zones — Place des Festivals, Promenade des Artistes and Esplanade de la Place des Arts — with their own entrances and exits.

In a press release Thursday morning, the Ministry of Health announced that it would increase the capacity limit for outdoor festivals in Quebec, but that it's not going to allow more people inside the Montreal Bell Centre to watch the Canadiens play the Stanley Cup Final.

The decision comes after the team publicly announced that it had requested permission to allow as many as 10,000 people in the arena.

The Montreal Canadiens' executive vice-president, France Margaret Bélanger, has confirmed that the Habs and the Bell Centre are prepared to welcome 10,500 fans for Friday's Stanley Cup Finals game in Montreal and in discussions with Quebec's public health authorities to make that happen.
