A 38-Year-Old Quebec Man Was Arrested After A Tractor Accident That Killed 3 Kids

10 people were riding in the tractor's shovel.

A tragic incident claimed the lives of three young children and injured seven others in the early evening of Wednesday, July 1 in Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, Montérégie, following a tractor accident.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested.

The 38-year-old driver was arrested. He's being questioned. There should be a telephone appearance this afternoon via the Granby courthouse.

Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Ingrid Asselin

The SQ told Narcity Quebec that the tractor was carrying the ten people in its shovel along with some wood.

The ten passengers were allegedly suddenly ejected from the vehicle. The cause is still unknown.

In Quebec, according to the SAAQ, it's against the law to transport people in the shovel of a tractor.
