Quebec Reported Over 4,000 New COVID-19 Cases In The Past 48 Hours

Quebec has reported over 4,000 new COVID-19 cases in the last two days, which were both new records for the highest daily case counts in the province since the beginning of the pandemic.

On December 18, the province reported 2,038 new cases, and on December 19, 2,146 new cases. That brings the total over the two days to 4,184.

4,184 Total new cases reported in 48 hours in Quebec between December 18 and 19

The total over December 16 and 17 was only 3,628, with 1,855 and 1,773 new cases, respectively.

As for the death count, 13 people died due to complications from the virus between December 18 and 19. This is a significant decrease from the week on average, which saw up to 39 deaths on December 17.

Currently, there are 146 people in intensive care as of December 19. This is an increase of four from the day before.

A new column in the table offers insights into the number of vaccines administered each day.

Quebec reportedly week saw a total of 4,716 vaccinations administered. 

At this current time, the province has seen a total of 176,985 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
