We've all been waiting for Montreal's dance and electronic music festival îLESONIQ to drop the lineup for its 2023 edition and we finally have the name of the first headliner! DJ Martin Garrix will be the star of the show for one night this summer, headlining the festival for the first time ever.

The three-day event is set to take over Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 12 to 13, and one night in the city on August 11. At the time of writing, the specific date for Garrix's set is unknown.

Montreal weather delivered a combination of rain, thunderstorms and tornadoes in July, and it seems as if the wild weather conditions will continue with a vengeance this weekend as Sunday's humidex is expected to reach 43.

According to The Weather Network, Friday is expected to reach a high of 27 C, with the humidex taking things up to 34. Even though this is typical peak summer weather for Montreal, what's to come on Saturday and Sunday is more than what most of us are used to.

Montreal hip-hop, dance and electronic music festival îLESONIQ has dropped the first part of the lineup for its 2022 edition. The three-day event is set to take over the Espace 67 festival grounds in Parc Jean-Drapeau with headliners including Swedish House Mafia and French Montana.

Sean Paul, Eric Prydz, FISHER, Ben Böhmer, and Ilan Bluestone are among the other big names highlighted by the festival in a press release.

In a Facebook post announcing festival dates for 2022, îLESONIQ also announced that it was expanding from two days to three days. That means festival-goers get a whole extra day of DJs and dancing this August.
