Montreal food lovers missing their glory days of restaurant hopping rejoice: YATAI MTL, a festival dedicated to Japanese food and culture, is back with Japan Week, a mixture of both online and in-person events from June 7 to 13.

As the COVID-19 pandemic wears on, YATAI MTL has organized a food tour instead of holding the annual event in a public park in the Mile-End.

Cold weather is soup weather, because when you need to get warm, you mine as well be eating something delicious in the process. And when I need to simultaneously beat the winter blues and my hunger pangs, one type of soup comes to mind: ramen.

Alright, guys, I have a confession: I am obsessed with ramen. Legit. I'm not the biggest fan of soup, to be totally honest, but ramen? I could slurp it up for days and days and still go back for more.

Ramen, probably the most versatile noodle out there. They may be meant for soup, but the meals that have been created using ramen noodles are simply mind boggling. There's Ramen Pizza, Ramen Grilled Cheese and even Ramen Burgers. There was also that one time where someone tried to pour gravy and cheese curds over the noodles to make a sort of ramen poutine. Well buzzfeed had taken that idea and ran with it. They made actual fries made of ramen noodles and used them to create the ultimate ramen noodle poutine.

Making it is surprisingly simple,  all you need is:  ramen noodles, gravy, cheese curds, an egg,  some oil, some tin foil and a freezer. Just follow these 6 easy steps:
