After Toronto set a women’s hockey attendance record in February, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced that an upcoming game between the PWHL Montreal and PWHL Toronto teams will be moved to the Bell Centre, where hometown fans will get a chance to beat that record.

According to a press release, the game — set for April 20 and dubbed the "Duel at the Top" — was originally scheduled to be played at Verdun Auditorium, which holds 4,114 seats. This is in line with the types of venues where PWHL games have typically taken place so far. The Bell Centre — which has a hockey capacity of over 21,000 — provides an upgrade of more than 16,000 seats.

Simu Liu took a stance on the long-lasting Montreal versus Toronto rivalry and while the Canadian actor is from Mississauga, his response made it clear that he's staying neutral in this fight.

For those who aren't too familiar with the competition between the two Canadian cities, the Montreal vs. Toronto rivalry is a long-standing and passionate feud primarily centred around ice hockey. The essence of the clash stems from intense competition between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, two of the National Hockey League's oldest and most successful franchises.

The President of the United States of America Joe Biden paid a visit to Canada's capital city on March 24, 2023, for the first time since being elected in 2020. However, the 46th president of the U.S. also took a minute to talk about sports.

"Our labour unions cross borders," Biden began. "So do our sports leagues. Baseball, basketball, hockey...I have to say, I like your teams, except the Leafs."

Ah, the Habs. You either love them or you love to make fun of them. But they definitely have their great moments. The away game on April 9 between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs took a clumsy if adorable turn when a player accidentally hit a kid in the face with a puck.

Steven Beauparlant brought his sons Jackson and Hunter to the Montreal Canadiens' away game in Toronto on April 9. The boys were looking forward to potentially meeting their idol, Habs assistant captain Nick Suzuki. Beauparlant told MTL Blog they each made signs to get the hockey player's attention and hoped to get photos with him.

It seems as if Quebec Premier François Legault started the day off right with his very own April Fool's joke.

Legault took to Twitter to share a photo of himself sporting a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey — which is quite the no-no when you take into consideration the long-standing NHL feud between the Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens.

As public health restrictions ease, you're probably excited to see your favourite athletes and performers do their thing in person — just like the good old days. If you're also a hockey fan, the Montreal Canadiens and Molson Export have some good news to share with you.

Founded in 1786, the Molson brewery is continuing its legacy of bringing people together with a new contest. This year, the brand is hosting the Molson Rivalry Train to give you the chance to attend a Habs away game and a fancy business-class train ride.

Almost as if it was scripted, Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin scored the first Habs goal of the season last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Shortly after his goal, praise poured in for the lad who took voluntary time off last season for mental health reasons. No matter their allegiances, pretty much everyone was happy for Drouin.

On October 1, Amazon Prime is coming out with its latest All Or Nothing sports documentary series which will chronicle the 2020-2021 Toronto Maple Leafs season.

And while that's all fine and dandy for the Maple Leafs, some hockey fans have absolutely roasted the Leafs about their new documentary because they've rightfully pointed out that the Leafs end up with, well, nothing.
