If you're in need of an easy getaway this summer, look no further. This floating Quebec Airbnb offers an exotic experience close to home. Just imagine waking up with a view of the lake or sipping a drink from the upper deck while the sun sets and stars slowly appear in the night sky.

The whole thing looks like an eclectic pirate ship — think Swiss Family Robinson on water.

There's even a little wood stove for a nice evening fire after a long day.

Right on the Gatineau River, the River Den is perfectly situated for a weekend of summer fun.

Fishing and swimming are allowed and a nearby "expedition shop" supplies kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and bikes so you can take full advantage of the water and surrounding landscape.

The houseboat's comfortable and well-appointed living space makes for the ultimate glamping trip.

While a sink pulls clean water from the river for daily cleaning needs, there is no hot water. But the host does provide fresh drinking water from a local spring.

There are also pots, pans, and a BBQ for cooking.

You'll be staying off the grid; there's no electricity so you get to turn off your phone and shut out the world you left behind.

Prices of course vary by booking time. A two-night weekend stay in July, for example, totals $435.

Stays at the end of summer, in mid-September, look like they run a little cheaper. But prices are subject to change.

Reviews for the Airbnb are glowing.

"Loved the location. Wakefield is a super cool town. The boat was even more unique than we’d expected. Definitely recommend," one reviewer wrote.
