5 Food Items Have Been Recalled Across Canada — So Check Your Groceries

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled several food items across Canada that could pose a serious health and safety risk to Canadian consumers. The recalls have been issued for reasons including microbial contamination, the presence of metal and wood, and undeclared ingredients.
The recalled foods have been sold nationwide, a few of which were distributed at several Loblaw banner stores including Provigo, Superstore, Fortinos and Your Independent Grocer.

Recall Reason: Per the CFIA, Centennial Food Service brand Meat products were recalled due to pieces of metal.
What Should You Do: The federal food agency stated that it is best not to consume, sell, distribute or use affected food products.

Recall Reason: According to the CFIA, the affected products are being recalled from the marketplace due to the possible presence of pieces of wood.

Recall Reason: According to Nestlé Canada, the company is issuing a voluntary recall of six batches of KITKAT Halloween Scary Friends 40 Pack in Canada. The recall is due to potential plastic in the product which could pose a choking risk.
